Lisgar O'Connor in Westboro!

Lisgar O'Connor will take the stage this Saturday night, August 29 at Daniel O'Connell's Irish Pub at 1205 Wellington Street in Westboro, between Holland and Parkdale Avenues. Come for the bowling at Westpark Bowling Lanes; stay for the warm cameraderie and ... wait for it ... live music! See you there!

Having considered some possible illustrative photo candidates, we decided to be undecided. So here's a random picture of a dessert creation ...

Lisgar O'Connor on the hottest day of the year

It was smoking hot when Lisgar O'Connor arrived at Daniel O'Connell's Pub in Stittsville on August 15.

Speaking about smoking hot, we were greeted by Lauren, whom we love so much, our number one fan in Stittsville ...

Everybody was in a party mood, including Julie and Joe.

John and Jodie even taught Bill how to speak in tongues!

Which probably helped him playing ripping solos on his new Godin guitar, "Ace" ...

Labels:

After the show, Bill and Sly unfortunately found out somebody had eaten all the nachos!

By the way, did we tell you Lisgar O'Connor is now on Stickam?

Stickam is a social networking site (a bit like Facebook, but with lots of webcams). Check our profile at www.stickam.com/lisgaroconnor. Gillies Fest 2009!

It is summertime, so, once again this year, Lisgar O'Connor played the Gillies Folk Fest ...

To get there, you have to cross a big red bridge ...

Built in 1898, at 151 metres long , it's the longest covered bridge in the Province of Quebec.

Then you have to drive endlessly on country roads ...

Until you hear the trombone ...

And you can't be reached anymore on the airwaves ...

Gillies is a family folk fest held annually on a remote lake, where friends, relatives and neighbours gather for an evening of music. This year, Finnegan and Larry sang some Loudon Wainwright ...

Gareth and Malcolm sang some Steely Dan...

Jordan and Rosheen got their dance on ...

Jesse and Leah sang the blues ...

David and Julia entertained us some more...

And of course, Lisgar O'Connor folked-up the place ...

Now, all that noise sure pissed off the owl ...

But Gillies Fest is not about beasts, except maybe for Bill ...

Sly, for his part, prefers beauty ...

If you want to get a feel of Gillies Fest, you can watch a video on Lisgar O'Connor's Stickam account at http://www.stickam.com/lisgaroconnor.
