It's Time Once Again ...

Well, it's time once again for another live performance by Lisgar O'Connor(!) So, join us down at Daniel O'Connell's Pub at 1205 Wellington Street in Westboro this Friday (November 19) at 9 p.m. No cover, just comfortable surroundings, friendly people and the folked-up blues of Lisgar O'Connor.

And now, for your amusement, the latest installment in the on-going saga of the imaginary story of Lisgar O'Connor ...

Bill and Sly were playing Scrabble with PaintBall Joe at the Little Chicago, way over in "The Darkside" (the last holdout within the National Capital Region where people can still smoke). After all the long, complex and learned words were exhausted, the guys called it a night and walked back to their cars, only… Sly’s Toyota was gone!

"What a pain in the neck," said Bill. "Let’s hope it was just borrowed for a joyride, and you’ll get it back in a few days.""Unless it’s the ‘cannibalized for parts’ scenario," said Paintball Joe (he likes to take things apart)…"Ah well, it's pointless wasting energy on something I have no control over," said Sly. "Let’s call the cops and file a missing car report."

"Hey, there’s a police cruiser right there!" said Bill. "Somebody’s getting a ticket for parking too close to the intersection!"Paintball Joe looked helplessly as the police officer slipped the ticket under his car’s windshield wiper…"The Lord giveth and the Lord taketh away: may the Name of the Lord be blesseth ... or something". In the meantime let the people who took Sly’s car know they just made a huge withdrawal at the Karma Bank…
